What's new in Langspool

July 2026

• New: sync between your devices. Point Langspool at a folder in a service you already use — iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Syncthing, Nextcloud, or your own server — and your study progress merges across machines. Your data never touches a Langspool server.
• New: your registration code is now visible in Settings → Account, with one-click copy, so you can activate Langspool on your other devices.
• Improved: re-activating on the same Mac no longer uses up one of your three device activations.

June 2026

• New: timed focus sessions — set a 10, 15, or 25-minute timer and study with a live countdown that pauses when you open a menu.
• New: a study-pace tile on your dashboard showing words reviewed per minute.
• New: optional strict umlaut checking, for when you want ä, ö, ü, and ß typed exactly.
• Nouns now show their article when revealed, and example sentences read more clearly.
• Fixed a rare issue where the app could open to a blank screen after several weeks of daily use.
